Old Dalby Village Web Site Trustees

Late in 2003, Joe Bartrop approached several residents to join him in running the village web site. Little did we know what we were letting ourselves in for, but we joined , we saw and, hopefully, we may even conquer one day.

The Trustees are -

This group was soon joined by an additional convert who had just moved into the village:

Ian Scotland - more IT bits and pieces

Our thanks go to Ian for allowing the Village web site to be hosted on his company's web server, saving us a small fortune in web hosting costs.

Role of the Trustees

Trustees agree to safeguard the domain name for the village of Old Dalby, Leicestershire, and develop the website's content based on what YOU, the villagers, submit.

The purpose of the website is .....

‘To be the official community website for the village of Old Dalby, Leicestershire, providing a source of information primarily for:

• people within the village
• people who have moved away
• people who may wish to move into the village

and to attract sponsorship of the website which will benefit charities, voluntary organisations, and good causes within the village.'
