Neighbourhood Watch

Voice Connect or VC Relay is a method Leicestershire Constabulary use to get a message out to various different groups as quickly as possible through email, text messages or voice mail messages.

Information sent may include details of current scams, crime prevention advice, requests for witnesses, or information on events that are up and coming.

VC Relay membership is held in strictest confidence and you will only receive messages relevant to your area, in your preferred format.

If you would like to join the VC Relay list then again please contact a member of you local neighbourhood team for an application form.

John Gray, Melton Mowbray LPU Commander, Leicestershire Constabulary – “Firstly I would like to say ‘hello’ as I am relatively new in post. Secondly a big thank you to the community for your support especially around neighbourhood watch. Kathy is being recognised later this month  winning a Neighbourhood watch award for the work last year around providing locks, burglary packs etc that took place last year in Old Dalby. We enjoyed a drop in burglaries last year in your village and surrounding area with 11 less victims. This year we are setting even more ambitious targets of reducing this further and I would ask that you continue to support Kathy and remain vigilant with securing your properties and reporting any suspicious activity. ”

There are 63 households in Old Dalby signed up to The Old Dalby Neighbourhood Watch. Members receive advice on crime-prevention and regular, free, telephone or email crime alerts via the Voice Connect and Relay System direct from Melton Police and/or The Vale of Belvoir NHW team. The Croft Garden scheme can be reached here.

Joining forms are available from Melton Police.
